Launching
Rockets, Lucerne Dry Lake, Nov. 2001
Troop 679 attended ROCstock
on November 9-10. The Dragon and Grizzly patrols each put together a
Patriot Missile kit and
then helped to prepare the rocket for launch. The rocket was equiped
with a payload designed by Mr. Jarvis that recorded the flight
parameters. Both rockets were launched successfully and survived to
fly again. The weather on Saturday was perfect! Warm and sunny with
no wind. Sunday's weather was much cooler and the wind was strong.
